Partnerships
One of the
principle directives for implementing the Jordan
Red Crescent strategic plan is to have an
increased and more effective participation of
the Components of the Movement and other
collaborators based on more sustainable
partnerships and cooperation agreement
strategies.
Over the years, the JRC has developed useful
working links with a number of international and
national organisations sharing the humanitarian
concern of improving the situation of the most
vulnerable.
The JRC co-operates with the Higher Council of
Civil Defence, Ministries of Health, Education,
Foreign Affairs, embassies, etc.
In addition to the different components of the
ICRC and Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement,
the Society co-operates with other organizations
including UNHCR, UNICEF as well as USAID and
Islamic Relief and other international and
national NGOs in times of emergencies.
The JRC also maintains useful links with
academic institutions, including the University
of Jordan and McGill University in Canada, with
the purpose of promoting partnerships related to
social research and development, which has
direct relevance to the work of the Society,
especially in the area of health and social
services.
